  • ALO Acadience Reading Training for ESPs and Others

    It is recommended that ESPs who will be assessing Acadience Reading measures (either progress monitoring in grades K-6 or benchmark testing in grades 4-6) be trained on test administration procedures on an annual basis.  There are both in-person and virtual training options.  Elementary school administrators are asked to pass this training information on to relevant ESP employees in their buildings as well as any others who may want more Acadience Reading assessment training.
    Participants should bring the touchscreen device they will use to test students.

  • SRP Drill Preparation Training: Drill of Choice

    A monthly drill preparation will be held on May 7th at 3:00 PM with a second session at 3:30 PM. This month, each school will conduct a drill of choice.  Administrators may choose to conduct any one of the safety drills previously covered throughout the year.  The training will be an overview of conducting drills and the use of SRP.  Each School Safety Specialist is expected to attend, along with administrators assigned to oversee school safety.  All other administrators are welcome to attend as well. The meeting is also open to any staff who may be interested.

    Information regarding Standard Response Protocol and other emergency procedures can be found in the Jordan School District Safety Manual.  This will be an opportunity to ask questions and share ideas among the schools.  Consider your school’s identified deficiencies and needed areas of improvement when determining which drill to select.

    We will be holding this meeting over ZOOM, so please join using this link.

    PLCs are on the 2nd Friday of each month unless there is no school or it is a District Professional Development Day. These PLCs are split between Secondary and Elementary levels to align with singleton PLC time at the schools. Elementary counselors will have an additional Small Group PLC meeting on the 4th Friday each month when Elementary is in school. 
    All counselors should attend each scheduled PLC.

    The run begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 10 and ends with a (free), fun family festival with lots of free giveaways. You can participate in any one of the events (Obstacle Run, Festival, Fundraising) or in all three! Bring your family, friends, and neighbors for a super fun day!

  • CSCP Steering Committee Meeting for Secondary School Lead Counselors

    Steering Committee Meetings will host secondary school lead counselors at the Jordan School District (JSD) Offices. If the lead counselor is unable to attend, they should send a representative from their school team to the meeting in their place. 

    Counselors and representatives assigned to work with the CSCP budget should attend each scheduled meeting.
